The property is located in the countryside on the border of the region "La Brenne" : Parc-naturel-brenne (country of the 1,000 lakes) and "le Boischaut Sud" (country of George Sand), and is renown for its quietness.

Corbilly is a 18th century manor build alongside and dominating a small river (la Bouzanne), surrounded by a park planted with centennial trees. It is located just outside the large forest of Châteauroux (13,500 acres) idyllic for nice walks and horse rides.

NEIGHBORHOOD - CURIOSITIES

A small village at 2.5kms, Arthon, offers basic shopping (opened Sunday mornings) and a restaurant. At Le Poinçonnet (6 kms) all services (post office, banks, etc…), shops and restaurants are available as well as a hypermarket (Auchan) Nearest large city is Châteauroux at 15 kms (cinema, restaurants, etc..) : Ville de Châteauroux.
Close to the superb Creuse valley (south), Corbilly is also at day trip distance from some of the most famous Loire valley castles (Valençay, Chambord, Blois, Cheverny, etc.).
Poitiers Futuroscope is 110 kms away (day trip), and the famous prehistoric site of Argentomagus is ½ hour drive away.
Many cultural activities are available in Châteauroux : Agenda of cultural activities and Equinoxe cultural center.

INSIDE DESCRIPTION

Period furniture, parquet floors, wood stairs, paneled walls, antique seats and comfortable sofas and armchairs, open fires, terrace above the river.
Alarm system with remote surveillance.

Ground floor: (see inside plan):

- Large kitchen fully equipped (with a dining table for 10/12 persons)

- Dining room (table for 14 persons)
- TV room with open fire
- Living room 1 with open fire and paneled walls
- Living room 2 with open fire, TV and direct access onto the terrace above the river, and equipped with a 2 places folding bed/sofa.

2 wooden stairs, one at each extremity of the house, lead to the 1st floor.

First floor (see inside plan):
- Bedroom 1 with large bed (1,60m) and direct access to large bathroom (bath & shower).
- Bedroom 2 with twin beds and a small toilet room
- Bedroom 3 with 2 bunk beds (0,80m each) and 1 separate bed (0,80m).
- Bedroom 4 with twin beds (0,80m each)
- Large bathroom 2 (shower & bath).
- Bedroom 5 with twin beds (0,80m each) and direct access to bathroom 3 (shower & bath).
- Large bedroom 6 (facing the river) with twin beds (0,80m each) and an additional large bed (0,90m) and a small toilet room with shower.
- 2 W.C., one at each side of the house.

In addition to the beds mentioned above, there are 2 baby cots, one in bedroom 2 and one in bedroom 6.

Total guests are limited to 12 + 2 babies.

- Coffee maker, toaster, kettle, mixer, etc…
- Dishwasher, washing machine, dryer

OUTSIDE

A 50 acres private land is freely accessible at all times.

Activities on the spot:
· Swimming pool.
· Fishing for both children and adults in the river that runs through the estate (fishing license required).
· Barbecue
· Cycling: different bicycles are available for both adults and children (to be returned, if used, in same conditions as found).
· Ping-Pong: a ping-pong table is located in one of the premises near the house (in the garden)

Activities at short distance:
· Tennis outside the property is possible (tariffs on request)
· Horse riding. At walking distance there is a horse renting farm where all kind of horses can be rented for daily or weekly rents. If needed, horses can be kept in the fields surrounding Corbilly (not included in the rent).
· Karting: there is a karting circuit in the nearby village (Arthon) at less than 10 minutes drive (not included in the rent)
· Golf: there is an 18 holes golf course in Villedieu (25' minutes drive) (not included in the rent)
· Canoe, nautical sports (Eguzon à 35 kms).

OTHER TOPICS:
The house is guarded permanently by a gardener living nearby, and who is taking care of watering the flowers, mowing the grass, etc…

CONDITIONS:
Tariffs vary according to seasons. Please refer to the chart below for details on renting prices.

Are included in the rent:
- All in-house charges such as water, gas, electricity
- All kind of usual house equipment. Besides, although not systematically included, 1 set of bed sheets and towel per person can be supplied (changed every week).
- 2 house maid hours every day excluding sundays and French public holidays.


Paying terms:
a) 25% on booking
b) 50% 2 months before arrival
c) 25% on arrival

Please note that no refund can be made.

Prices do not include:
1. telephone charges (average mobile coverage).
2. heating charges (fuel oil)
3. additional house maid hours (for cooking, cleaning, etc…) which will be charged 23,00 €/hour (all charges included).
4. Food. "basic" supplies found on arrival should be replaced before departure

Arrival and departure times are set respectively at 17.00 p.m. and 12.00 noon to allow for house cleaning.

Insurance
A copy of an insurance contract covering for heavy damages (fire, water, etc…) is to be provided before entering the premises. Besides, a deposit equivalent to 1 week rent will be made by check (or cash) at the latest on the day of arrival (to be returned on departure if not needed to cover for damages that occurred during the stay).

CONCLUSION:
Corbilly is an ideal summer holiday house for 12 persons. It is a paradise for children who like running, cycling, fishing, swimming, playing in the woods, etc… It is very peaceful and quiet.
